Went to a restaurant named "sanjha chulha" for dinner a few days back. For the people who love Punjabi food, its one of the best place to go for non veg Punjabi food in kolkata(1), and also ofcourse the Lahore daal they serve is yummy.
This always reminds me of the daal we used to get at a restaurant named "billos" at college. It was used to be a nice break from the UEOs(2) served at our mess. The shrewd sardar, owner of billos used to have this peculiar habit of increasing the prices way too often. Almost every second week, we had to go through a new gali fying session, cursing the sardar with the most innovative galis we could generate for increasing the price of daal, but still even that could not stop us from being more regular at billos than classes.
